The 2016 election started the day after the 2012 election. I wrote over and over again about my disgust with the fascination over 2016 way back before 2014 happened. Well now the least important part of the 2016 election is finally happening and we can go back to ignoring Iowa for 4 years.

I have a modest idea.  The first in the country primary/caucus that dominates months of ultimately meaningless punditry should be rotated like the All Star Game. Every year a different state gets it and gets to be the unlikely object of every ounce of political bullshittery.

Or at least rotate it among 10 or so small, white unrepresentative states.
