Florida AG asked Trump for donation before nixing fraud case

This business is less murky than TX. Pam Biondi really seems like a piece of work. Somebody floated her for Trump’s Veep. As if.

Florida’s attorney general personally solicited a political contribution from Donald Trump around the same time her office deliberated joining an investigation of alleged fraud at Trump University and its affiliates

The new disclosure from Attorney General Pam Bondi’s spokesman to The Associated Press on Monday provides additional details around the unusual circumstances of Trump’s $25,000 donation to Bondi.

Asking for a donation when you have a legal conflict of interest is as clear an ethics violation as you can get.  That does not prove that she dumped the Trump U. case because… but wow does that look bad for everyone involved.

David Frum pointed out that Trump’s take on Trump U. was $5 mil.  What kind of person who supposedly has $10 BILLION DOLLARS goes into such a shady business for a measly (by billionaire standards) $5 mil.
