Obviously Melania would have been out of the marriage shortly if not for idiots making her sort of “First Lady” so she was the biggest loser in the election debacle (or maybe she’s tied with all of America), but Leni Riefenstahl impersonator Kellyanne Conway is giving us signals that she too is ready to be placed in protective custody.

She goes on the TV and continues to rationalize his mocking a disabled reporter.

“You can’t give him the benefit of the doubt on this? And he’s telling you what was in his heart. You always want to go by what comes out of his mouth rather than look at what’s in his heart.“

She’s so close to saying, “He doesn’t mean it when he hits me, he’s just frustrated. I have to do better.”

“[L]ook at what’s in his heart”!!??  As you might know, we can never really know what’s in someone’s heart so we can only go by what they say and do.  Based on that Donald Trump’s heart must be a fetid swamp of hate, bile and insecurity that causes him to be predictably stupid, vengeful and dishonest.

Remember when George WMD in Iraq Bush looked into Putin’s soul?  That too was a lie because if he had seen Putin’s soul Bush would have turned into a pillar of salt or something.  These acts of divining a person’s true nature never work out.  For people in public service their word has to be their bond – that’s all we have to go on.  This is the most essential reason Trump was unthinkable as a public official to anybody paying attention.  For the people who so stunningly discounted his dishonesty it’s hilarious 1. that they did so, and 2. that they routinely discounted some things he said as “just Trump being Trump” but accepted other things as truth.  “Sure, he’s not really building a wall, but he will bring back our jobs.”   Con men don’t work that way.  And even if they did, how could you ever really know what’s true and what isn’t when you’re dealing with somebody like Trump who lies about almost everything?

John Dean noted that Nixon lied about important things, but not everything.  Trump lies about everything and anything.

This was  one of the best examples of how disgusting a human being (and I’m being generous calling him a human being) Trump is and how egregious a liar he is.  Everything about the incident that incited the mocking behavior was debunked and the video of his performance cannot possible be discounted the way Conway wants to sell us it is.  She and Trump want to say that he wasn’t mocking the disability but was mocking “grovelling.”

Lie upon lie upon lie.

Trump’s explanation in Colorado is simply not credible. First of all, we already confirmed that Kovaleski did not grovel or say he made a mistake. Moreover, Trump actually appears to paraphrase Kovaleski’s brief statement about not remembering that thousands of people celebrated. Trump now suggests he was just imitating a grovel, but that’s not what he was actually doing.

Instead, Trump is clearly imitating Kovaleski’s disability — the reporter has arthrogryposis, which visibly limits the functioning of his joints. Trump claims he did not know Kovaleski, but the reporter closely covered Trump’s troubled business dealings while he was a reporter for the N.Y. Daily News between 1987 and 1993.

This was a four Pinocchio lie.  But by the time we’re through with Trump Pinocchio will be retired and we’ll be judging lies on how many Trump’s it earns.
