When murderous dictator Assad used the term “Fake News” to describe media pieces he didn’t like, we saw the real danger of an American president that goes to war with truth, ethics, American values and the press. Despots around the world can mirror Trump now and attack media with even greater zeal.

Not that autocrats need any more incentive to denounce, jail, torture or murder journalists that dare to tell the world about abuses of power, but now they can do it to curry favor with Trump.

It will be no surprise when Putin or some other autocrat calls a reporter a terrorist and cites Trump.

And immoral narcissist Trump takes a bow.
