Most important news story of the day is that my father, The Old Jew (and boy is he), turns 98 years old today.
When he was born in Fall River, Mass (God bless the Commonwealth!) there were more horses than cars in NYC (pretty much everywhere), electricity transmission was not necessarily a common thing quite yet, nor was indoor plumbing or telephones. The first commercial radio broadcast was still 3 years away. No air conditioning. Refrigeration was an icebox made possible by the daily delivery of ice.
And don’t even ask about the WiFi, it was spotty.

They’re not going to give Flynn immunity because they don’t need to. He may have been caught in a Russian honeypot (if you watch Archer, that’s back tonight on FX and you know what a honeypot is).

Trumpcare is back and worse than ever!! Thing is that these people do not learn. They’re just not that bright. Evil as fuck, but not bright enough to ingratiate themselves with the broad public. So keep Resisting and singing of Trump’s actions because nobody likes what they’re doing – even those that were enamored with the idea of Trump, don’t care for the reality so much.

Bannon removed from National Security Council
Finally! But don’t imagine that this means these noodniks are getting any more serious about anything. They blamed Obama for Assad’s gas attack. Which may have been Spicer’s nadir, and that’s sayin’ something.

Ivanka says she “doesn’t know what it means to be complicit.”
“If being complicit … is wanting to be a force for good and to make a positive impact, then I’m complicit.”
Somehow it doesn’t have the same ring as JFK’s famous “If by a Liberal” quote.
“If by a “Liberal” they mean someone who looks ahead and not behind, someone who welcomes new ideas without rigid reactions, someone who cares about the welfare of the people-their health, their housing, their schools, their jobs, their civil rights and their civil liberties-someone who believes we can break through the stalemate and suspicions that grip us in our policies abroad, if that is what they mean by a “Liberal”, then I’m proud to say I’m a “Liberal.”
